Movie Talk #3: What Will Happen to Daredevil?

All I know about Daredevil really is that he is the blind version of Batman. I haven't even seen the movie but I plan on seeing the director's cut because that is the one people at least like. The reason I'm writing this is that in the past week or two, there has been a ton of news about where the Daredevil rights will go. Fox is working on Fantastic Four and Daredevil reboots because the rights expire this October 11th. At first, they said they might keep Daredevil and give away Galactus or the Silver Surfer for an Avengers 3 since Thanos will be in Avengers 2. It was officially announced though that the rights for Daredevil will be going back to Marvel Studios as of right now and Fox will go on with the untitled Fantastic Four reboot.
I am personally very happy because Marvel Studios could make Daredevil good this time! They could make it funny and have lots of cool action. The only problem is that this movie will come out in 2015 at the earliest since Marvel has Iron Man 3, Thor 2: The Dark World, Captain America 2: The Winter Soilder, Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, and The Avengers 2. If Daredevil were to stay with Fox though, Joe Carnahan would direct it and he released a sizzle reel of what the film would look like and it looked kind of stupid. I don't think this because of the fact that it shows footage of the original Daredevil and comic books, it just doesn't sound good. The film would be darker and grittier, take place in the 70's, and have Robert De Niro as the villian. I linked the sizzle reel down below so you could check it out. I think Daredevil has the potential to be good since Marvel Studios will be getting the rights back and they could make it funny and have cool action. So, what were your thoughts on the sizzle reel and how do you think Marvel Studios will make the Daredevil reboot?

Episode 32: DIARY OF A WIMPY KID 3: DOG DAYS- Movie Review

Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3: Dog Days is directed by David Bowers and stars Zachary Gordon, Robert Capron, and Steve Zahn. There isn't really mush of a plot other than Greg wants to get with this girl and spend time with her,  and there was also something about him and his father. I had so-so expectations for Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3 because the first one is a good family movie and the second one was slightly better to me. This movie is about the same as the first one, it is a nice family movie that kids will love and adults might like.
The main cast are kid actors so don't expect acting that would belong in The Shawshank Redemption. Zachary Gordon is good and his friends are okay. Devin Bostick plays Rodrick,  who is my favorite character in these movies because he has some funny scenes. He has a scene at the end of the movie that is really hilarious and was the funniest part of the whole movie. Steve Zahn is the best actor in this movie mainly because he is an adult and has been in way more movies than the other kids. Steve also had some of the bigger laughs in the movie. Parents might think this is okay and kids under the age of eight will think this is like the best movie ever. I'll give Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3, a 6.5/10 because of Steve Zahn and the funny parts. Go see Dark Knight Rises  again, it must get to a billion soon. So, what are some of your favorite and least favorite movies of the year so far?

Episode 31: THE BOURNE LEGACY- Movie Review

The Bourne Legacy is directed by Tony Gilroy and stars Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, and Edward Norton. An expansion of the universe from Robert Ludlum's novels, this movie centers on a new hero whose stakes have been triggered by the events of the previous films.
I was very excited for the Bourne Legacy because Jeremy Renner proved that he could be good in an action movie with Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and the twelve minutes of him in the Avengers. Now that I've seen the movie, I think that Jeremy Renner proved that he can be a good action lead. Jeremy Renner was great and so was Rachel Weisz. Edward Norton was also great but he wasn't in a lot of scenes. The action scenes were awesome including a motorcycle chase in the final act. There is also a scene that takes place in a lab that was extremely intense. I think some audience might not want to see it due to certain events going on right now. This movie was pretty good and it was better than I thought it would be with the mixed reviews it has gotten.
There was one problem that I had with this movie though. At the start of this movie, we keep skipping to different locations every two to three scenes to introduce characters. Anyway, I really liked the Bourne Legacy and I'll give it an 7.5/10. So I'd like to know, what is your favorite action movie of the year so far?

Episode 30: THE BOURNE SERIES- Movie Trilogy Review

Since the Bourne Legacy is coming out this month, I thought that I should review The Bourne Trilogy.
The Bourne Identity is directed by Doug Liman and stars Matt Damon, Franka Potente, and Chris Cooper. A man is picked up by a fishing boat, bullet-riddled, without memory, then races to elude assassins and recover from amnesia. Matt Damon is great as Jason Bourne and plays the character so perfectly and has great chemistry with Franka Potente. I think Matt Damon would be such a nice person to hang out with because he had great chemistry with Emily Blunt in The Adjustment Bureau and in this movie he really shows how well he works with other people. However, the problem with this movie is that when it goes to people  looking for Bourne ( with Chris Cooper), it gets pretty boring. But he action in this movie is also great and that  makes the Bourne Identity one of my favorite action movies of all time. I am going to give The Bourne Identity a 9/10.
The Bourne Supremacy is directed by Paul Greengrass and stars Matt Damon. I won't spoil anything but in this movie, something changes Bourne and makes him this cold guy who is coming for the people who did it. Karl Urban ,who is Judge Dredd in the new remake, is the person who did this to Bourne and he was good in the movie. Matt Damon is great again and the action sequences are better than they were in the first one. However, I do think that this film is a little boring when it doesn't focus on Bourne. I'll give the Bourne Supremacy an 8.5/10.
The Bourne Ultimatum is directed by Paul Greengrass and again stars Matt Damon. Bourne is still trying to find out who he is and he might just find out the truth. The Bourne Legacy is in my Top 5 action movies of all time and is in my Top 20 Favorite movies. I don't even have to say Matt Damon is great. The action scenes are the best they've ever been. The movie includes one of the best fight scenes ever between Jason Bourne and this assassin, Desh. The car chases are the best. This whole movie is just a big chase. Even the dialouge is like a chase movie. The ending of this movie is also perfect like the rest of the movie. The Bourne Ultimatum get's a perfect 10/10. So, what is your favorite action movie ever?

Movie Talk #2: Batman Reboot 2016 and Justice League Movie

This week, Warner Bros. released some information about the upcoming Batman reboot that I felt I needed to share to you people. Yeah that's right, The Dark Knight Rises has been out for 3 weeks in the USA and were talking about the reboot. Did I mention that it is only coming out in four years? In 2016, we will be getting Batman again but this time, leading up for the Justice League movie. When I hear this I think three things:

  1. I'll give it a try
  2. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. What?
  3. Confused.

Warner Bros. also shared that this will not be an origin story (Thank God) and will actually be taking place two years into Bruce Wayne being the Batman. There will probably be some kind of flashback to his parent's death. He will most likely fight the Joker but I really want The Riddler in a movie done right and not wearing pajamas like in Batman Forever. Speaking of Batman Forever, I would also like a longer story with Two-Face that is good. In the Dark Knight, Harvey Dent with his face burnt was only in the last third of the movie.
This new Batman reboot will be leading up to The Justice League movie that exists because of the success of the Avengers. An article that I read said that Man of Steel would introduce us to the DC Universe that the Justice League will exist in. I'm guessing the movies leading up to Justice League will be Man of Steel. The Batman (most likely the title), a Wonder Woman movie, and a Flash movie. If the Batman reboot (which I said will be called The Batman as of right now) comes out in 2016, then a Green Lantern movie reboot could come out to replace last year's disaster movie. So, with all this news about a Batman reboot, what do you think and if Riddler were to be the villian, who should play him? I am stuck between Johnny Depp and David Tennant but somebody edited a photo of Johnny Depp as The Riddler and it looks awesome. So stay tuned for my review of the Bourne Trilogy.

Episode 29: TOTAL RECALL (2012)- Movie Review

Total Recall is directed by Len Wiseman and stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, and Bryan Cranston.
A factory worker, Douglas Quaid, begins to suspect that he is a spy after visiting Rekall - a company that provides its clients with implanted fake memories of a life they would like to have lead. The visit  goes wrong and finds himself on the run.
I was looking foward to Total Recall because coming from the trailers, it looked different from the original 1990 film. It also looked good because of the effects and action scenes which we'll get to later. I also think Colin Farrell is a good actor and knocked it out of the park in last year's Fright Night, which was also a remake. Luckily, Total Recall is another good remake with Colin Farrell in it except it isn't as good as the original. But it is safe to say that I had a lot of fun with this new Total Recall.
Colin Farrell was great as Douglas Quaid and he took his role very seriously. Kate Beckinsale was good as Lori who is Quaid's wife (I think ?) but I think she should get a little more used to playing a villian. Jessica Biel was also great as Melina but I think someone else could play her. Bryan Cranston was a very underdeveloped villian because he is in the first third for three minutes then makes his real debut in the last act of the movie. If you have seen the original movie,  then for the first half of this movie, you will most likely be predicting everything that will happen. There are some new twists and turns but for those of you who are complaining about a certain thing, that girl is in it. There are a few other throwbacks to the original movie that I won't say anything but two weeks.
This movie is rated PG-13 and really should be R because of the amount of action and I am suprised that they got away with for a PG-13; even with the one girl you guys know. The action scenes are great and so are the effects for the most part. Total Recall was pretty good even though it had a boring middle part and an underdeveloped villian which means Total Recall gets an 8/10 for now. I bet at the end of the year and when I thought about the movie more, it will be 7 or 7.5/10 but for now, 8/10. So, what were your thoughts on the new Total Recall? If you haven't seen it, then are you excited for it and what are your thoughts going into this movie? In the next week I'll be reviewing the Matt Damon Bourne Trilogy so stay tuned for that review!

Episode 28: SKYFALL TRAILER #2- Movie Trailer Review

Skyfall is the upcoming James Bond 007 movie and is my most anticipated movie for the rest of this year now that I've seen The Dark Knight Rises. I really like James Bond even though I have only seen Die Another Day and Quantum of Solace. In this trailer, we see that certain mistakes were made by making M
have to kill Bond but of course, he is still alive because he is James Bond and awesome.
We also see our first  look at Q who gives Bond all of his gadgets. I hope that they make these weapons and gadgets realistic because they have such a realistic world in this series as of right now. I hope that they make the weapons realistic in they way Nolan's Batman movies or Mission Impossible did and not the invisible car like in Die Another Day. In this trailer, there is a fight scene that takes place on a train between Bond and someone else and this looks pretty awesome. My favorite part of the trailer is when something destroys the train and Bond walks away casually fixing his suit.
Lastly, there is a shot of Javier Bardem as the villian and I think he is going to be pretty good as a James Bond villian. I am going to give this trailer a 4.5/5 because I thought it showed just a tiny bit too much but that's just my opinion. Skyfall is my most anticipated movie of the year for now and I can't wait to see it. This week I plan on reviewing Total Recall and I might do some kind of Bourne recap. Anyway, who is your favorite James Bond villian?

Episode 27: THE DARK KNIGHT RISES SPOILER DISCUSSION

So, if you didn't read the title, this will be a spoiler filled discussion about the Dark Knight Rises so if you haven't seen it, PLEASE don't read this. On Tuesday, I went to see The Dark Knight Rises for a second time in IMAX and felt like this needed to be written. First, I just want to talk about the IMAX theater because this was my first time watching a movie in IMAX. The biggest problem I had with this movie was Bane's voice and that you couldn't understand a third of what he said in a regular theater. When I saw it in IMAX,  I understood every word Bane said because of the perfect sound quality. So now I have no problems with the Dark Knight Rises.
Now let's get onto the spoilers. First, I am going to be talking about Miranda Tate who turns out to be the real villian and John Blake becoming the new hero of Gotham.
Last year there were rumors that Taila Al Ghul would be in The Dark Knight Rises and I was very interested. Then, a few months ago, I heard Marion Cotillard was playing Miranda Tate but I still thought it was Talia. When I was watching the movie, I believed the rumors weren't that true until the big reveal. I wasn't as suprised as the next big reveal but I did like it even though she was only on screen as Talia for ten minutes.
So, I'm pretty sure all of us expected someone to take over Bruce Wayne's Batman with Bane being the villian and all. I had no idea that he was going to become the "Robin" character and I love that they made his name (Robin) John  Blake. That was a clever twist and I really wish Joseph Gordon-Levitt had his own movie and became a Batman Beyond kind of character. I still give The Dark Knight Rises a 10/10 and is my favorite movie of the year by far. I also plan on reviewing Total Recall this coming Friday or Saturday, so look foward to that review! So what did you think of Marion Cotillard's and Joseph Gordon -Levitt's characters?

Episode 26: MAN OF STEEL TEASER TRAILER- Movie Trailer Review

Man of Steel is the upcoming Superman reboot directed by Zack Snyder and written by Christopher Nolan.

When this movie was first announced, I really didn't know what to think until pictures of the costume were released. At first, I disliked the costume because he didn't have the curl in the hair, he didn't have the red underwear, and I thought the suit was too scaly and the cape was too long. In February, they released a picture of Superman with a kid I guess he saved. That is when I got used to the suit and it started to grow on me.
At the end of this trailer, which is the best part for me, we see Superman fly up into the air, break the sound barrier, and it's awesome. The CGI looks great and from what I saw, Henry Cavil looks great as Clark Kent and Superman. Clark Kent has a beard in this trailer which reminds me of Batman Begins. That leads me to one question, How will he shave his beard if he has indesructable skin and hair? There were two official trailers released, one with a Kevin Costner voiceover (he is Superman's Earth dad) which is playing in theaters, and one with Russell Crowe who plays Jor-El. The one with Russell Crowe is the one I enjoyed much more becasue it felt more like Superman. Anyway, Man of Steel is my most anticipated movie of 2013 for now. I have to wait until an Iron Man 3 teaser comes out and if it changes my opinion. This trailer gets a 4.5/5 and now it's question time! What were your thoughts on this teaser trailer and do you like how they are making it dark like Batman Begins?

Episode 25: THE DARK KNIGHT RISES MOVIE REVIEW!!!

7/21/12-Note: When writing this, I had not yet known about the terrible shooting in Colorado, R.I.P. to the victims...

Since this is my 25th review and a quarter to a hundred, why not review one of the most anticipated movies of all time! I saw it and if this review is late, then it probably took me a while to process the awesomeness.
The Dark Knight Rises is directed by Christopher Nolan and stars Christain Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Marion Cotillard. Eight years after the events taken place in The Dark Knight, Bruce Wayne has stopped being Batman until a new evil, Bane arrives. Bruce Wayne must rise up and face Bane or the city of Gotham shall be destroyed.
Christopher Nolan is my favorite director of all time. Batman Begins is one of my favorite movies of all time. The Dark Knight is my favorite movie of all time. The Dark Knight Rises was my most anticipated movie of all time. This movie has a TON of hype behind it and it was better than I thought it would be. Christian Bale is the best he has ever been in this trilogy. People do make fun of the voice but in the third film, I am used to it and I like it. Tom Hardy as Bane was a great villian because of how menacing he was. If he had the Bane mask from the comics, then he wouldn't of been as menacing because you saw the emotion in his eyes. Gary Oldman was also great even though he wasn't in that many scenes. Micheal Caine is wonderful and has a very emotional scene at the end that I will admit made me tear up, then cry. Do I even need to say that Morgan Freeman was good? Anne Hathaway was great as Catwoman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt was good as Officer Blake.
This is honestly for me better than the Dark Knight, which makes this my favorite movie. The Dark Knight Rises is the best comic book movie I've ever seen because it made me so emotionally attached to the characters. You forget that Batman is a superhero and you just see these characters as ordinary people. I cried at the end of this movie. I am going to give The Dark Knight Rises a very serious 20/10. For the next paragraph of this review, I will be talking spoilers so make sure you see this movie. Now I am going to try something new and ask you guys a question. If you were to direct a Batman movie, who would you cast as Batman and the villian? Comment your answer if you want and now onto the spoilers

**SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEE BATMAN, PLEASE!**

PLEASE DON'T READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE DARK KNIGHT RISES!!!!!! At the end of the movie, we think that Batman died in the atomic bomb blast. In this scene, Alfred is talking to the graves of Bruce Wayne's parents and he gives an emotional speech. This is honestly one of the best preformances I've seen an actor give because when Michael Caine said those words, I teared up. Then we see a statue or memorial of Batman which started to make me cry. We then learn that Joseph Gordan-Levitt's character's name is Robin and he finds the Batcave which made me smile. That last thing we see is Alfred at a resturaunt seeing Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle. That made me cry and smile which was awesome. The Dark Knight Rises is my favorite movie of this year by far, my favorite comic book movie, and it might even be my favorite movie of all time. I also got to see the teaser trailer for Man of Steel which I'll review once it is released online.

Episode 24: MOONRISE KINGDOM- Movie Review

Moonrise Kingdom is directed by Wes Anderson and stars Jared Gilman, Kara Hayward, Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, and Bill Murray. In Moonrise Kingdom, a pair of young lovers flee their New England town,  which causes a search party to fan out and find them. I was pleasantly suprised by Moonrise Kingdom because of the acting. The two main leads are in their first film and they killed it. The boy, Jared Gilman was really good and the girl, Kara Hayward was also. Bruce Willis gave what was  probably my favorite performance in the movie. Bill Murray and Edward Norton were fantastic too. This movie is also very hilarious. There are some scenes that had me laughing like crazy.
This movie is in limited release but if you have a chance to see it, you should because this is a great movie. However, there is one small problem that I had with Moonrise Kingdom. During the movie, you keep hearing about an upcoming storm and by the time the storm occurs, there are too many things going on. At the end, it get's a little hectic and it keeps cutting to different stories. Overall, I am going to give Moonrise Kingdom a 9/10.

Episode 23: ICE AGE 4 CONTINENTAL DRIFT- Movie Review

Ice Age 4: Continental Drift is directed by Steve Martino and Mike Thurmeier and has the voice talents of Ray Romano, Denis Leary, John Leguizamo, and Peter Dinklage.

Manny, Sid, and Diego are seperated from Manny's wife and daughter due to a continental drift. The trio encounters a pirate crew while trying to get home and are on an adventure. I always thought that the Ice Age movies were just okay except for the first one. The first Ice Age was a pretty good movie. I completely forgot Ice Age 2: The Meltdown and Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs was okay. Now we get on to Ice Age 4: Continental Drift which is the point of this review. I thought Ice Age 4 was a great fun family film.

Ray Romano is pretty good as Manny and Queen Latifa plays the wife and she is just as good. Denis Leary was probably one of my favorite parts of this movie because he had some funny lines. John Leguizamo got more annoying than in the third one but he is still funny. You also have some supporting voices such as Wanda Sykes as Sid's grandmother who I thought had some of the funniest lines in the movie. However, my favorite character in the whole movie is Scrat, who is always going on adventures to find these acorns and something hilarious always ensues.
The villian in this movie is played by Peter Dinklage and I didn't think that he was the right voice for this pirate villian. I think maybe Ian McShane or someone else should have been brought in  to play him. Another problem that I had with Ice Age 4 was a side story about Manny's daughter trying to fit in with the "cool" mammoths. That felt really stupid. That story also involved Nicki Manaj who voiced one of the teenage mammoths and she has such an unbearable voice to listen to. I was so happy that her character had only around four to six lines. This is the kind of movie that you should take your family to see. Kids will love it and adults might like it, too. If adults don't like this movie, think about how awesome The Dark Knight Rises will be. I am going to give Ice Age 4: Continental Drift an 8/10. This week, I'll be reviewing The Dark Knight and the MUCH anticipated Dark Knight Rises so stay tuned to those reviews.

Episode 22: JOHN CARTER- Movie Review

Phantom Menace + Attack of the Clones + Avatar = John Carter

John Carter is directed by Andrew Stanton, who is making his live action directing debut. It stars Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, and Mark Strong. John Carter, a Civil War veteran,  is transported to Mars and encounters a princess that must get married or else a war will occur. She of course, doesn't want this marrige so John Carter decides to help her only if she returns him to Earth.
I didn't see John Carter in theaters due to a large amount of negative reviews. But I had the chance to see it on DVD and I decided to give it a shot. I thought John Carter was a fun movie but it is in no way a great movie and it has some large problems. I'll get to the problems first so let us start with the acting. I respect Taylor Kitsch because most of the movie was him talking to a green screen. Most of the acting is mediocre but is good for this kind of movie except for one actress, Lynn Collins. She was terrible in this movie because some of her line deliveries were just awful.
Also, the third act of the film was extremely boring and it felt very stretched. The movie could have ended at least twice. The first twenty minutes of this movie wasn't very good and it only got good once he  got on Mars. The relationship between John Carter and the princess was very stale and had no believable chemistry. It felt very similar to the relationship between Padme and Anakin in Attack of the Clones.
Now let's get onto the good things that are in this movie. The visual effects aren't half bad;  like the aliens. The aliens look good and have great voice acting. There is also a good amount of action and great visual effects. There isn't much else to say about John Carter and I'm going to give it a 6.5/10.

Episode 21: THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN- Movie Review

Thank God I saw Spider-Man rather than Katty Perry's 3D Concert. Then again, I could imagine the horror of my mom dragging me to see it.
Anyway, I am going to start a new format of reviews similar to the format of my Snow White & the Huntsman. So let's get started! The Amazing Spider-Man is directed by Marc Webb and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, and Rhys Ifans. Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man must solve the mystery behind his parents' disappearance. He meets Dr. Curt Connors who conducts an experiment that goes horribly wrong and turns himself into a gigantic humaniod lizard that soon wreaks havoc on New York. Spider-Man must then face the Lizard and stop Connors'  destruction.
So if you haven't seen my review for the third trailer of this movie, I stated that I was thinking that this movie would be great. Now that I've seen the movie, I am going to talk about the direction. Marc Webb is the director of 500 Days of Summer and that made me think that he would kill it at directing the dramatic scenes but not that good in the action sequences. In a Spider-Man movie, you should have a director who can direct action. Wow, I was wrong because the action in this movie was awesome. This whole movie was awesome. Andrew Garfield was awesome as Peter Parker and in my opinion, he was a better Spider-man  than Tobey Maguire. This Spider-Man was funny, sarcastic, and could take dramatic issues very well. He also had a great relationship with Emma Stone who plays Gwen Stacy. I also thought that Rhys Ifans was great as Dr. Connors. The CGI for the Lizard was very good, also.
What I love most about this movie is that the movie is very faithful to the comic books and television shows. Spider-Man was funny and sarcastic. Peter Parker built the webshooters. Gwen Stacy was even in the comics before Mary Jane like in this movie. It reminded me most of the T.V. series, The Spectacular Spider-Man. One more thing that I'll say about this movie before I talk about the 3D is  don't leave the theater until the credits finish. I saw this movie in 3D and for the first two acts, there isn't much use of the 3D, which disappointed me. Then, the third act happened and there was some really cool 3D tricks. I'd say that if you are going to see this movie, you should pay to see it in 3D. Anyway, I love this movie and it is my second favorite movie of the summer and year. I am going to give The Amazing Spider-Man a perfect score of 10/10.

Episode 20: LOOPER TRAILER #2- Movie Trailer Review

So, I was checking some things on YouTube and just saw the offical international trailer for the movie Looper. When the first official teaser trailer was released for Looper, I was interested and this trailer explained more of the plot and more of the awesome story. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is younger Bruce Willis and is a looper. A looper is a person who kills people sent by the future mob. This concept is so original and it is good to see an original science fiction movie once and a while. Looper is probably my most anticipated for the fall of this year. This trailer gives more of the future world that is portrayed in this film which looks very realistic and awesome. It looks like the kind of vehicles that we would have in 2042. I am extremely excited for Looper and I am going to give this trailer a 5/5.

Since June is coming to an end, I wanted to say what is coming along in July. The first week of July is the Amazing Spiderman and I am looking forward to this movie very much. I feel like this movie will be the 'X-Men: First Class'  of 2012. Half the people think that this movie won't be that good but it probably will be good like X-Men: First Class. The next weekend I will be reviewing John Carter which I borrowed from my local library. Then, I will be reviewing The Dark Knight in honor of the Dark Knight Rises coming out. That movie looks pretty awesome. I don't think there are that many other good looking movies coming out in July. Anyway, I hope you look foward to these reviews and stay tuned for the Amazing Spider-Man review!

Episode 19: MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE'S MOST WANTED- Movie Review

                                                             Afro Circus Poka Dot...

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted is directed by Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath and also has the voice talents of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett Smith, David Schwimmer, and Bryan Cranston. The animals are back and are in Monte Carlo running from this huntress. This huntress has the head of every animal on her wall except for a lion, which is why they are on the run. They are forced to join the circus and they must try to get back to the zoo. I was planning to see Madagascar 3 but I missed the showing and saw Rock of Ages instead. This is better than Rock of Ages. I like the first Madagascar movie and the second one but the problem is that they have really only kid jokes. This movie has very funny jokes that adults and kids will like. However, this movie also has jokes that will go over very young kids' heads but that will make adults laugh. Those penguins are hilarious and have great comedic timing. The animation is also pretty great and detailed. Every hair on each animal looks so real even though it is an animated movie.
You are going to be introduced to some new characters such as the tiger, played by Bryan Cranston,  who was my favoite character. He had the most interesting backstory and the one that explained why the circus is kind of terrible now. The circus that the animals perform in is perfect because you have all these neon colors everywhere and it was a very fun experience. But then again, they used the song Firework so that isn't good. Madagascer 3 is a suprisingly good time for adults and a great time for kids ,which is why  I'm going to give Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted an 8/10.

Episode 18: BRAVE- Movie Review

Incredibles Sequel? Come on, Pixar! We're still waiting...

Brave is the latest Disney Pixar movie and it is directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman and has the voice talents of Kelly Macdonald, Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Julie Walters, and Robbie Coltrane. It focuses on Merida, a Scottish princess who wants to be a hunter instead of a queen with makeup, dresses, and other royal stuff. She goes to a place to change her fate and she must fix a certain situation. I was looking foward to Brave very much and it exceeded my expectations. Brave was awesome. The voice talents were very good and all the voices matched the characters perfectly. The animation is some of the best that Pixar has produced. Every detail on Merida's hair were fantasticly done. The character of Merida is very well developed and there are some scenes where you could care for her a lot. Her parents are also cool because her dad is awesome and she has a great relationship with her mother. Her three brothers stole the show and were so funny.
The only problem that I had with Brave was that it felt just a tiny bit rushed. I felt it could have about ten or fifteen minutes added to it. This is why I am going to give Brave a 9.5/10. I just can't push it up to a perfect score. I also saw it in 3D and most animation movies are great in 3D and this movie had some pretty good 3D. I think if you will see this movie which you should, it won't hurt to see it in 3D. The 3D was pretty good in this movie. I highly recommend to see Brave because it is a great movie.

Episode 17: ROCK OF AGES (2012)- Movie Review

                                                      Rock and Roll!

Rock of Ages is directed by Adam Shankman and stars Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta, Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, and Paul Giamatti. In this movie, a small town girl and a city boy  meet up and try to pursue their Hollywood dreams. I actually wasn't planning on seeing Rock of Ages today because I missed the showing for Madagascar 3. I wasn't looking foward to this movie not only because I didn't plan on seeing it, but the trailers didn't make me want to see it.
I actually kind of liked this movi,e which suprised me. The best thing in this movie is Tom Cruise as Stacee Jaxx. He is just sucked into the role and is perfect. Tom Cruise is probably one of the best actors we have today. Julianne Hough is also pretty good and so is Diego Boneta. They  have a pretty decent relationship. You also have some other good performances like Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand which bring most of the comic relief. The songs are also pretty awesome and since the movie takes place in 1987, these songs haven't come out yet so these characters made them up in the movie. I love how they introduce most of the songs. For example, the city boy played by Diego Boneta gets angry before performing and sings "I Wanna Rock!" and a reporter asks Stacee Jaxx what it is like to be him and he sings "Wanted Dead or Alive." Also, the second act of the movie where something makes the two leads go seperate ways, was boring. There isn't much to say about this movie so I'll just go ahead and rate it by giving Rock of Ages a 6/10.

Episode 16: WRECK-IT RALPH TRAILER #1- Movie Trailer Review

This trailer came out like two weeks ago but I wanted to post something and I felt like talking about this one. A new Disney animation movie that is not a Pixar movie, Wreck-it Ralph is coming out and the trailer is below.

Wreck-it Ralph is an upcoming Disney animation movie that looks like a mix between Monsters Inc, Toy Story, and video games. Now, the best thing about the trailer would have to be the scene where all of the classic video game villians such as Bowser are sitting together talking about how Ralph wants to be the hero now. John C. Reilly's voice fits perfectly with the character of Wreck-it Ralph. There are also a few other voice actors like Jane Lynch in the trailer that look okay. I also like how Ralph goes to all these generic games after leaving his game like in the trailer. He goes to "Heroes Duty" which is like a science fiction Call of Duty and he goes to "Sugar Rush" which is like a racing game such a MarioKart. Wreck-it Ralph looks like a great movie and ismy  most anticipated animated movie for the rest of the year. I am going to give this excellent trailer a 4/5.

Episode 15: PROMETHEUS - Movie Review

This weekend will truly separate the boys from the men. Boys will see Madagascer 3: Europe's Most Wanted. Men will see Prometheus. I'M A MAN!

Ridley Scott has now returned to direct a movie of the genre that he defined in 1979. Prometheus is directed by Ridley Scott who has also made two of the most famous science fiction movies, Alien and Blade Runner. This highly anticipated movie stars Noomi Rapace, Logan Marshall-Green, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba, and Guy Pearce. It is about a group of explorers that find a clue behind mankind's origins and set out on an adventure to space. When they reach a distant planet, things go wrong with aliens and crazy stuff.
Prometheus was my third most anticipated movie of 2012 and it did not disappoint. I adored Prometheus for many reasons and now we will get on to them. Michael Fassbender as David was like what everyone says, the best actor in the movie. He has given the best male performance I've seen this year so far. Noomi Rapace who most people recognize as the original Girl With the Dragon Tatoo was also amazing in this movie. Some other great actors in the movie are Charlize Theron and Idris Elba. The person who looks like Tom Hardy, Logan Marshall-Green was not as good and sometimes I thought he was overacting. The best thing about this movie would probably be the visual effects. These were some of the best visual effects I've seen in a long time. Speaking of long times, if you were to make a top fifteen list of science fiction movies from 2002 to 2012, this has to be on the list. This is the second best movie I've seen this year and will probably make my top ten favorite movies of this year. The only problem that I had with the movie is a question I will discuss in a spoiler-filled section. Anyway, I am going to give Prometheus a 9/10. Now the next paragraph will be a little spoiler-filled disscusion if the film so if you haven't seen Prometheus, don't read the rest and see the movie.

                                                       ***SPOILERS BELOW***

I stated that this will have spoilers twice above so don't say I didn't warn you. I said that a problem I had with this movie was a question that I'll state right now. Why did David put alien bacteria in Dr. Holloway's drink? It just shows that he puts it in there without any reason of doing it. Besides that, I thought that Prometheus was outstanding and I hope that you see it also.

Episode 14: SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN- Movie Review

Is this better than Mirror,Mirror? Probably.

Snow White & the Huntsman is directed by Rupert Sanders and stars Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Sam Clafin, Ian McShane, and Nick Frost. It is the second and darker take on the Snow White story this year. The first one, Mirror Mirror, is the one of which  I was not a fan.  Now, the evil queen, Ravenna ,must drain the life of Snow White in order for her spell not to break. Snow White has been trapped in the castle for years until she escapes and travels to the dark forest. The queen then hires a huntsman to go to the dark forest but after the huntsman finds out that he was tricked, he decides to help Snow White by training her to defeat the queen and lead a rebellion. Snow White & the Huntsman was my second most anticipated movie for June, number one is Prometheus. Anyway, I really enjoyed this movie and that suprised me. The thing about Snow White & the Huntsman is that it is not afraid to be darker as the trailers made it look . The briefly used comic relief mostly comes from the dwarf played by Nick Frost. It is hilarious how Nick Frost was a dwarf with all this makeup.
Now that we've got that out of the way, let's get to the performances. Charlize Theron was pretty good as the evil queen. Sometimes, I thought she was acting a little over the top in some of her line deliveries, . Chris Hemsworth is, in my opinion, the best actor in this movie. He had an accent that I wish Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart used instead of the British accent. Kristen Stewart was really good also and even though I have never seen Twilight, she doesn't show much emotion like in Twilight. Except now it pays off for no emotion due to the fact that in this movie, Snow White was traumatized when seeing her dead father. That's not a spoiler because it is in the trailer. The film was also boring in the middle and was too long which is a problem I had with the film. I think that ten or fifteen minutes could've been cut out. However, that was the only problem I had with this movie.
The visual effects in this movie are superb. A scene where the evil queen takes broken glass and turns it into an army of knights just blew my mind. Most of the visual effects take place in the dark forest,  like the troll whch looked so real. I enjoyed this movie and is the fourth best movie of the year, I will give Snow White & the Huntsman a 7.5/10.

Episode 13: MEN IN BLACK III- Movie Review

Isn't it weird how Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith look like they haven't aged a day since like the first Men In Black. I'm guessing that it is a side effect from time traveling.

Men In Black III is directed by Barry Sonnefeld and stars Will Smith, Josh Brolin, Tommy Lee Jones, Jemaine Clement, Emma Thompson, and Alice Eve. It has been about one decade since Men In Black II came out and it has been 3 years or so since Will Smith has been in a movie. In this movie, an alien of 2012 has escaped from jail and travels back in time to kill his jailer, Agent K.  Now, Agent J must travel back in time to 1969 to stop Agent K from being killed. While this event is happening, Agent J and young Agent K have to stop an alien invasion. Now, I had mixed thoughts going into Men In Black III because of  I had heard that there were big script problems. People were writing dialouge minutes before Will Smith and Josh Brolin came on set. I thought that Men In Black III was amazing, I had so much fun with this movie. The humor in this movie was also hysterical at some points such as the bowling scene. Only one or two jokes to me fell flat to me. In my opinion, this movie was a fun movie and it suprised me of how good it was. Coming from all of the trailers, clips, and television commercials, I was expecting a fun science fiction movie. It turned out that this movie was just awesome. I had a ton of fun with Men In Black III just like I had with the first one. This film is able to recapture the same kind of fun that Men In Black I did.
One of the things that I had a problem with in the film was the amount of time Tommy Lee Jones was given. The guy was only in three or four scenes. That is a problem because I never felt the chemistry from the first two movies between them even though part of the movie revolves around the two agents having relationship issues. However, Josh Brolin was able to create the same kind of chemistry as young Agent K. Josh Brolin does a crazy good Tommy Lee Jones impression that it feels like Tommy Lee Jones drank a magic potion or something and became like thirty years younger. Another problem that I had with the film is that there was a relationship between Josh Brolin and Alice Eve's characters that I wish was more developed. There was also a character Griffin that could see every possible outcome of every possible situation. Sometimes he got on my nerves and sometimes he was kind of cool.

One thing that I did like though was the ending. It was not only kind of emotional but it answers some questions No spoilers but that ending was the perfect way to wrap up the trilogy. As much as I would like to see a Men In Black 4, it would be smart not to make another one. If you are looking for a fun summer blockbuster, you will enjoy this movie. If you are a Men In Black fan like me, you will probably love this movie. I am going to give Men In Black III an 8/10. It is a fun science fiction blockbuster and is the second best movie of the year so far in my opinion.

Episode 12: MEN IN BLACK II- Movie Review

Not exactly what I said in my review of the first one but at least I got the review done and up!
Men In Black II is directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and stars Tommy Lee Jones,Will Smith, Rip Torn, and Lara Flynn Boyle. This time Agent J has to get Agent K's memory back so that they know how to stop the world from getting blown up by aliens. One alien in particular that has taken the form of a woman and killed someone in Agent K's past. If you have not seen the first one than you won't get the movie's story as much as you would if you saw the first Men In Black.
The problem that I have with Men In Black II is that it doesn't really do anything new. In the first film Agent K and Agent J had to stop an alien invasion and they have to do that again in this movie except the plot is explained for half of the films. I also didn't enjoy the visual effects because this was around the time when movies were starting to use CGI. The effects sometime look very fake and noticiable and sometimes it is okay. I miss the old practical effects from the first Men In Black. I also think that in the third fim, coming from the trailer, they are going back to practical effects that  make me have high hopes for it. I like the humor in this movie even though it was not as funny as the first. I'm comparing this movie to the first one because it doesn't try anything new.The chemistry between Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith is back and is amazing even though Tommy Lee Jones wasn't in it for a long time. This movie is in my opinion, not as bad as people said it was. I am going to give Men In Black II a 6.5/10.

Episode 11: THE GOONIES -Classic Movie Review #2

So there has been a large hole in the plan because someone else took out Men In Black II which means I'll just review a different movie. So lets make it an 80's classic.

The Goonies is directed by Richard Donner, and is written by Chris Columbus and a little name, Steven Spielberg. It stars Sean Austin, Josh Brolin, Jeff Cohen, Kerri Green, Corey Feldman, and Johnathan Ke Quan. I know barely any of these people. The people that I have heard of in this movie are Josh Brolin, Sean Austin who plays Sam in the Lord of the Rings series, and Johnathan Ke Quan who played Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. The Goonies is about a strange group of kids who embark on an adventure after finding a pirate's treasure map. These kids don't really act like normal kids which makes them different. They will make something like a chain reaction just to open a gateway or a door. The reason why this movie is so good is the adventure itself. I had tons of fun when the kids started exploring the cave or tunnels . Also, while the kids are exploring, a group of criminals are looking for them and the same treasure. This made the stry even more interesting. Before seeing this movie, I thought that Johnathan Ke Quan's character would be the most annoying but it turned out that Jeff Cohen's character (Chunk) was the most annoying. He kept on saying the same thing over again and made big messes. He'll break statues or knock down precious things. I hated Chunk.
Now that we have talked about the most annoying, let's get to the most interesting or best kids like Josh Brolin's character and Sean Austin's character. Their characters are brothers and their preformances are very good. All of the other kids are good in this movie and did good jobs. The chemistry between all of the kids is hilarious and it is very nice to watch. The only problem that I have with the Goonies is that around the ending feels a little stretched. The Goonies feels like a mixture of Home Alone, Scooby-Doo, and Indiana Jones which is so awesome. I am going to give The Goonies a 10/10 and it is one of my favorite movies.

Episode 10: MEN IN BLACK- Older Movie Review

So to get into the mood of Men In Black, I will review the first one this weekend, the second one next weekend, and then the third one the next.
Men in Black is a movie directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and starring Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith. It is about a cop who joins a secret agency that monitors extra terrestrial activity. Then, an alien army threatens the Earth and the agency must try to stop the world from being destroyed. Men In Black is also in my Top 30 Favorite Movies of All Time. It is just a really fun science fiction movie. This movie is hilarious from start to finish, most jokes coming from Will Smith. Will Smith just has very good comedic timing. Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith just have such amazing chemistry. The dialogue between them is just hysterical. Another thing that makes this such a wonderful movie is the practical effects. These are some of the best practical effects I've ever seen. If this movie didn't get at least nominated for Best Visual Effects, then the Oscars will no longer mean anything. There is an awesome part where a robot's face opens up and an alien is inside, maybe the best practical effects ever. This movie just really makes you want to see the second one which I will see for thr first time in a week, and is an excellent film. Please see this movie if you haven't. I will give Men In Black a perfect 10/10.

Episode 9: THE AVENGERS 3D- Movie Review

I saw it. I saw it! I SAW IT!!!!!!

The Avengers is a movie directed by Joss Whedon,  which is an amazing choice. Picking him to direct this movie is like if Nolan let me direct The Dark Knight Rises. It stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, and Tom Hiddleston. The God of Mischief, Loki has come down to Earth because he wants to rule mankind. Nick Fury of S.H.E.I.L.D. forms a team with the heroes Iron Man, Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, and Hawkeye to stop the world from being ruled. I adore this movie so much. Loki is the best comic book villian since the Heath Ledger Joker. He knows every way to trick the Avengers. I will say it right now and here it is, The Avengers is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Now the action in this movie is probably the best superhero action I've ever seen. All of the characters are even better than they were in there own movies. Black Widow is even better than she was in Iron Man 2. Mark Ruffalo was good as the Hulk even though when people heard he was casted, they hated it. There is a line, not spoiling it, but when he said it I thought that he just is the Hulk. He only hulks out twice in the movie and it is pretty awesome. This movie has some pretty awesome visuals and acting. Robert Doweny Jr. is good as always as Iron Man. Chris Evans is funny and is a good Captain America. Chris Hemsworth is even better than he was in Thor and I didn't really care for the Thor movie. The Avengers does not just live up to the hype, but it lives way beyond it. I loved this movie so much, the last 45 minutes is just more than the perfection you hoped for. Seeing all of my favorite Marvel heroes in one movie was awesome. That shot from the trailer where all the heroes are in one circle, it was so awesome. When Captain America came on screen for the first time in costume, I was like laughing about how awesome that was. If this came out last year, it would be the best movie of that year. The Avengers is the best movie of the year, the best Marvel movie to date, and one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. The Avengers gets a very very strong 10/10.
Yes, I saw this movie in 3D and I usually don't care for 3D, unless I hear good things about it. The last 45 minutes of the movie in 3D is some cool stuff, but I don't think that it is really necessary. The last thing that I will say is don't leave right when the credits start. Please see this movie because it is so awesome.

Episode 8: THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN TRAILER #3- Movie Trailer Review

So in the last few days, The Dark Knight Rises Trailer 3 came out. Not to mention the Avengers came out in all countries so that is going to be reviewed on either Sunday or Saturday. So, the last thing on our minds is The Amazing Spiderman; until now because the new trailer came out. It's a pretty good week for comic book fans! Anyway, I'm doing what I did in the last episode, watch the trailer below and I shall talk about it.

The Amazing Spiderman will be in my top 3 most anticipated movies of the summer in two days because I will have seen The Avengers. To start off this review, I'll talk about Spiderman's relationship. I'm pretty sure that Gwen Stacy knows that Peter Parker is Spiderman because they are talking about the police being after him. The visuals and colors in the trailer look phenomenal. Most fans were complaining that The Lizard didn't have a labcoat but in some shots you can see him with a labcoat on. Spiderman is again funny in this trailer like he was in the second trailer which is very like the comics. I also love that Peter Parker's parents tie in with Dr. Curt Connors. This means that it won't be Spiderman vs. The Lizard because there is a monster attacking the city, it will be a very emotional battle because of the whole thing with the parents. This trailer makes me want to see this movie very much and the trailer gets a very strong 4/5.

Episode 7: THE DARK KNIGHT RISES FINAL TRAILER- Movie Trailer Review

I thought that this trailer was going to premiere at Dark Shadows. The studio probably saw how much money the Avengers was making, so Nolan released it a couple days before the real release date. I am also seeing The Avengers on Saturday because I have school Friday. I also have a little surprise for Sunday. Anyway, watch the trailer because the link is below!

The Dark Knight Rises was my most anticipated movie of the summer until The Avengers trailer came out but it is number one again. Now, this trailer is awesome. First, I'm pretty sure that they fixed Bane's voice because a line in the trailer sounds different than a line in the second trailer. We also see how Anne Hathaway as Catwoman and she looks like she is acting well. In some scenes it looks like she is trying to be like Catwoman and sometimes she is just like her. Also, Batman's voice is just right because in the first one it is like he has a sore throat and in The Dark Knight it is like he is swallowing marbles. Now it is in the middle which I like. We also get a little bit of humor at the end. I love this trailer and it is going to get a 5/5.

Episode 6: INDEPENDENCE DAY- Classic Movie Review #1

Can't start the summer off without aliens..well, Avengers is still coming. For now, I'll review this movie.
Independence Day is my first review of an older movie and I plan to do more. Anyway the film is directed by Roland Emmerich, written by Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich, and stars Will Smith, Bill Pullman, and Jeff Goldblum. It is about a mothership that comes to earth, sends little spacecrafts, and people go crazy and try to stop it. Now of course, this isn't an original plot now in 2012, but it was more original back in 1996 when it first came out. The film focuses on the President, who is trying to find out what to do during the invasion/extermination. Captain Steven Hiller, a pilot who is looking for his family during this apocolapse, is the main pilot. The last main character is David Levinson, a man who is trying to stop the aliens through technology. Now, this movie won an oscar for Best Visual Effects and I think it should've. I liked how the aliens looked in this movie because nowadays aliens look like weird animals.

See that? It looks pretty awesome. Anyway, I really liked this movie and I think that the acting is pretty good. Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum steal the show from everyone else. The only bad thing that I will say about this movie is that it doesn't have a lot of character development for Will Smith and Jeff Goldbulm's characters even though their acting is magnificent. It really focuses more on the President (Bill Pullman's character) than the other two. Anyway, I bought this movie on Blu-Ray and I really enjoyed it. Independence Day is going to get an 8.5/10.

Episode 5: THE PIRATES! BAND OF MISFITS- Movie Review

                                                   Arrrrrrrrrrrrrg!!!(Sorry, had to be done)

"The Pirates! Band of Misfits" is directed by Peter Lord and Jeff Newit and is a claymation movie and I like clay animation, I think it is a very unique type of filming a movie. Anyway, it stars Hugh Grant as a pirate and other people that I won't tell you because it's fun to guess the voices. I really liked this movie and I am predicting that it will be on the Top 15 Best Movies of 2012. As you can tell, I liked this movie a lot. Now I am given the simplest plot to explain after the other four movies that I reviewed. The movie focuses on The Pirate Captain who has tried to win the Pirate of the Year Award and to win is to be the pirate with the most gold, but he has failed around 20 times. He tries to win again and adventures and shenanigans insue. I think that all of the voice acting in this movie was awesome and it really is fun to guess the voices of the characters. The voices of the actors are also a complete match to what you would think these characters would sound like. I was also laughing during this movie and so were the children and adults in the theater. My favorite character would have to either be Mr. Bobo or the Pirate Captain himself. He doesn't have his name given, in fact there is a part where someone asks for his name and he says call me Pirate Captain. That's true it even says in the credits Hugh Grant as The Pirate Captain.
I love stop motion and I think that there is never a choppy frame in this movie. This is an excellent family film and if you have seen the Avengers all ready then I think you should see this. I am going to give "The Pirates! Band of Misfits" an 8.5/10.

Movie Talk #1: Avengers Preview
Marvel's "The Avengers" hits theaters on May, 4th and is my most anticipated movie for the summer of 2012 but before I explain what's got me pumped, I'll say 5 other movies that I'm looking foward to. My second most anticipated movie is The Dark Knight Rises, then the other movies are Prometheus, The Amazing Spiderman, Men In Black III, and Brave. Anyway, this movie could either be a complete mess with equally undeveloped characters or one of the best comic book movies ever. I've been even more excited every day because more videos about it come up and the release date gets closer and closer. Also, after watching film critic Chris Stuckmann's video review, I can't wait!!!!

I adore the first Iron Man, I thought it was a great superhero origin story and is probably in the top 5 best comic book movies. Iron Man gets a 9/10, it's my favorite movie leading up to the Avengers. I also think that the Incredible Hulk was a good comic book movie and in my opinion, I think that it is an underrated film that wasn't noticed because it was out the same year as Iron Man and The Dark Knight. I feel that if the movie came out in 2009, it would've been noticed and might have made more money. The Incredible Hulk gets a 7.5/10. The next movie leading up to the Avengers is Iron Man 2 which was not as good as the first but I don't think it is as bad as people say it was. Iron Man 2 gets a 7/10. Next up is Thor which I thought had good acting and awesome visuals. It should've been nominated for Best Makeup or Best Visuals for the oscars but you never get everything. I didn't like it as much as critics did but it gets a 7.5/10. The last movie is Captain America: The First Avenger, this was one of the best movies of 2011 and my second favorite Avengers tie-in. Mostly everything is awesome in this movie and it gets an 8/10. Those were my thoughts on the movies leading to the Avengers and I think the movie will be the second best film of the year, maybe the best, we'll see.
